    Wickett's landing

The ship pulls silently through the dark bay, tall cliffs loom over you. Lights along the cliff face flicker on. Then you see it. The city, shrouded momentarily in darkness before life began to sprout forth. Strings of lights pass over head, fireflies flicker between them. The lights reflect off the calm waters beneath the ship, creating the dizzying sensation of sailing through the starry sky. As your eyes adjust, you see the people, milling about on gangplanks and wooden walk ways. You see the make-shift homes tethered to the cliff face. Hundreds of ships look like they are emerging from the rock. The ship wrecks being used as make-shift homes in a sort of shantytown. Smaller boats are tethered to piers along the bay, most with huts built upon them, with little more than a small mast or oars to propel the boat.
The bay continues into a canyon, the city still hanging to the walls like barnacles, the lazy river did little to hinder your movement up stream. Then you see it. A giant ship, near the top of the cliff of the right side of the canyon. HMS WICKETT is plain to see, carved and painted on the hull of the hulking ship. The ship had somehow been wedged into a large cavern near the top of the canyon. Its aft stuck within the rock opening. A series of pullies and ropes tied to large pillars on the other side of the canyon kept the bow up, making it look like the boat was ready to sail along the wind.
