The Tricky Traveling Tavern
You've been traveling along a dirt path on foot, with nothing but a sodden cloak between you and the relentless storm all around. As you begin to shiver and wish for nothing more than a warm, cask rum, a pot o' stew, and a sturdy stool on which to rest your aching legs, a pleasant golden light appears in the distance. It comes from the window of a small tavern. The heavy, wooden door creaks upon entering, and there is an immediate sense of security as a barmaiden relieves you of your ruined robes. You have no use for them anyway. You are almost instantly provided with the exact things that you had been yearning for just moments before. Sitting at a bar table with a flagon of warm drink in one hand, and a spoon in the other, you watch a woman on a lifted platform as she hums a tune so soothing, that you find yourself lulled into a deep slumber without time to wonder how you would pay, or what was in the drink....
