The Message Garden
After a time; however long that may last here, something interrupts the endless blue. At first, it just looks like debris, then your eye catches glass glinting softly in the light of the timeless sea. And then something softer. As you drift closer, the shapes resolve. Bottles of every kind and age- green, blue, clear, amber. Some clear and unweathered, others frosted over by age. Folded paper boats, their creases crisp and untouched; magically sealed from any potential water damage. Little wax sealed bundles tied with thread, glass baubles with slips of parchment inside. Tiny carved boxes, latched shut but not locked. None of the paper looks waterlogged or worn. Each looks as though it were placed there moments ago.
