Slytherin Commonroom at night
It's a quiet night in the Slytherin Commonroom. Nearly everyone is gone for the Christmas holiday, you and only two other Slytherins stay. They've gone to bed while you've elected to stay up and read. You sip warm tea, huddled under a blanket. The fire crackles high, and the lake moves against the windows. Your kitten purrs and meows in your lap, and a mermaid dings outside the window. They nearly never show themselves, but as you're alone and have always been kind to them, one sings to you. You feel tranquil. Nearly sleepy, but not quite. Relax, little Slytherin. You are home.
