Nightly Brew
Knock knock. You, a tired traveler, are welcomed into the cottage of a humble swamp woman, or that's what you think at first. You feel a tingle of mysticism in the air, enchantment in every squeaky floorboard, upon entering. She's as warm and welcoming as her home. Not one to be a bother, you kindly take the blanket and mug of hot tea that's offered and sink into an old but sturdy rocking chair. As soon as you get settled, two jade eyes lock with yours from over your knees before a sweet black cat hops into your lap and makes you his temporary bed. "Seems like you've made fast friends," the woman comments fondly, "now, get some rest, dear." With a soft smile, she returns to her kitchen. Between her soft humming, the hypnotic purr of your sleeping friend, and the lulling chant of swamplife, you drift off into the best sleep you've ever received.
