it is a warm summer night
& the moon casts a blue glow
over the seemingly sleeping forest;
& yet, to look closely, it is filled with life—
bright eyes stare at you from the darkness,
but you are not afraid ( for there is more curiosity
than animosity there )
a familiar tune can be heard on the lilting breeze,
the instrument of the island's Boy-King
but by far the most enchanting thing.
on a most enchanting night—
to see such fairies dance.
