Mermaids
A mermaid appears in many folk lore around the world, Europe,Spain,Asia,Ireland, and other places. They say that a mermaid's song will put you in a deep sleep forever, and others say they will put you in a trance with their songs and lure you underwater, were they then drown you. In Pirates of the Caribbean, On Strangers Tide, they're shown as man eating mermaids that attack the boat.
