An Afternoon in Wan Shi Tong’s
You enter the library easily enough. You’ve been searching for years for the near-mythical library of Wan Shi Tong, and you finally found it. It’s nearly buried in sand, but you get in through the highest window of the only unburied turret.
You gaze in wonder at the endless rows of tomes. Slim, linen-bound books, scrolls hand written on crumbling paper, and leather covered first editions. You can’t wait to begin devouring the knowledge here.
You hear a rustling behind you. Turning slowly, you see it. The legendary Wan Shi Tong, spirit of vast knowledge, He who Knows 10,000 Things. After a lengthy argument, where Wan Shi Tong states that humans are no longer permitted in his study, and you plead for the opportunity just to spend the afternoon, WAN Shi Tong relents.
“Fine. But to prove your worth as a scholar, you have to contribute some worthwhile knowledge.”
You came prepared for this. You bring forth a first edition tome bound in blue leather. You are now free to spend a peaceful afternoon perusing the vast knowledge of the Library.
